Hey there, friend. I’m adelle platt.
It all started with a desire to be a Mom and have a career.
Who says that stay-at-home-moms can’t have a successful business? I wanted to prove to myself that I can be an amazing mother who gets to be there for all the wonderful milestones and have my own business where I get to make my own schedule and stop working for “the man” where I break my back for hardly any pay.
How I got here…..
I’ll give you a little insight into how I got here, but not too far back to where I bore you. As a child, every kid always says the famous words “when I grow up, I’m going to be…” Well, when I was a child, I always wanted to travel the world, but never found a way to make it happen. Even as an adult now, that is still my dream.
Like most people, I was too afraid to take the leap out of my 9-5 and was stuck working way too hard for hardly what I was worth. Fear of failure controlled me, until something changed. I found out I was pregnant and I decided that I wanted to become a stay-at-home-mom to be able to raise my child. I did everything to make that happen for my baby and I was successful!
Ever since that day, my mindset has changed. I can do anything that I set my mind to. I now wanted to be the best Mama and have an amazing career, but in what?
I figured it out when I got the opportunity the take one of my dream vacations and go to Japan! The best part is I got to share my experience with my 6 month old son. I decided to take my camera with me and I was so involved with capturing the beauty of Japan, the culture, the people, and to capture every emotion from my son.
My mom (who came with me to Japan) turned to me and said “your pictures are amazing, and you clearly love doing it. Why not turn your passion into a career?” And the business was born right then and there.

My own story…
You’re giving me the honor of capturing yours, it’s only fair that I share mine!
My real story started the day I became a Mom!
The day my son was born. I’ll never forget it. For so long, Moms have been telling me their wonderful experiences when their children were born. From “you’ll never know love more intense until you have a child,” or “all the pain you go through will all dissipate once you hold your baby for the first time.” While you can try to imagine all these wonderful feelings, you won’t be able to until the moment comes, but I can say that they were all right. One of my most cherished memories that I’ll hold close to my heart forever.

Single parent trying to navigate how to better my life as well as my sons.
I knew the day I became a mom, I was going to have to take the leap into the self-employed world. I had wanted to for so long, but was always too afraid to escape the comforts of the strenuous 9-5 (I know, Ironic word usage there.) Being able to raise my son and provide for him by becoming self sufficient and run my own business was a must! Taking Otto to Japan just opened my eyes to photography and to the world, really. I knew I could do it!
Making it!
I jumped head first into photography and never looked back! It is absolutely the best decision I’ve ever made. It challenges me, inspires me, motivates me to be the best. It can push my creative outlet as well as blossoms my social skills and interactions with clients which has been dormant for way too long underneath the 9-5 prison. Let me be creative for you!
